Tomorrow on June the 13th the Trooping the Colour ceremony, to mark the Queen’s official birthday celebrations, sees troops parade from Buckingham Palace down the Mall to House Guards Parade and back again.
Crowds flock to the Mall and St James’s Park to witness the event, which the Queen has attended every year except for 1955 when a national rail strike led to the event being cancelled.
As you can see below this is a highly disciplined exercise and everything needs to be in line. The trees, the flags, the troops and hopefully the audience too.
For this weekend the topic for I see, I see … is Standing in line (in een rij staan). Do you see a row of trees, flowers, people or may be bikes for the start of the Tour de France?
Send me your picture by Monday evening (using the envelop button at the top) and I will post a collage on Tuesday.
Have a good weekend.
